They were very cool! For me, it was alright looking at everything in the palaces, but the thought of walking where royalty used to walk every day... it was very surreal in a way.

I'm still sad I never met Susan! Valancy told me she was so nice! But Uwe was nice! I asked him for a picture, and he said, "Of course." And as he was signing a couple of autographs, he asked me where I was from. And then he wished me a safe trip back.

Oh yes, I went to the Sisi museum! It was very neat! I also took the tours of the palaces and the imperial crypt!

And Susan never came out the door the one night she performed. The rest of the week she and Uwe were at the Musical Forever concert. But I did get to meet Uwe the first night I was there! He was very nice, but seemed like he just wanted to leave. I didn't have the courage to speak to André Bauer the first night, though. Shame because I never saw him again.

I was there for a week, and I did get to do lots of sightseeing! I spent most of my time with Lora from Stacy's message boards. It was so much fun, and I really hope to go back some day! You were there last September, weren't you?

I went to Vienna in December, and I saw Rebecca! However, two nights after, I joined Lora at the stage door after the show, where I met Wietske and Tim Reichwein! She's super nice. I didn't get to really talk to her very much, though. She just asked me where I was from, and was surprised that there were people from the US, Greece, and Japan that night. :)

Thanks! I've become quite fascinated with that picture as of late. I've made the larger icon for this site, a normal sized one for LJ and message boards and a banner as well, lol.

And Pia and Stanley are both made of awesome! :D

Thanks Nikki. I actually lived in Berlin for 12-months between 1997-1998. I went there for love after meeting a german here in Sydney. We went to Vienna for xmas and saw elisabeth there and i fell in love with the musical straight away. It actuall helped me learn german at the time and even now alot of the german i remember are words and phrases i know from the musical. funny huh.

Ooh yes. I think if I had Uwe AND Máté saying my name, my life would be complete. Now, if it was to my face, then I would likely die of fangirly glee on the spot.

Oooooh. This is exciting news. If it can stay open until fall 2009, then I'd almost definately be able to see it. My grandmama is offering me a senior trip to anywhere in the world. ^_^

No, unfortunately I haven't seen any of them live, just recordings x.x But I'm going to Germany this December to visit a friend who lives in a town near Stuttgart, and while I'm there we're gonna see Die 3 Musketiere, I'm so excited ^^ That will be the first German musical I'll have seen live.
I agree, seeing Elisabeth live must be to die for @__@ why do all the best musicals have to be so far awayyy...*crave* At the very least I'll make an effort to pick up the Elisabeth Vienna Revival DVD when I'm in Germany, if just to temporarily satisfy my craving xD

Elisabeth in Berlin

Last week had my first live experience of Elisabeth... twice. This review is copied from my LJ and I'm posting it here because the perormances I saw were wonderful and I want the world to know it :D
